Breitling Superocean Heritage II B20 Automatic 44
Ref. AB2030121B1S1 | Black Dial | Full Set
The Superocean Heritage is one of Breitling’s most recognizable designs—a modern interpretation of the brand’s original dive watches introduced in the 1950s. This 44mm example combines vintage-inspired styling with the proportions, materials and movement of a modern luxury sports watch.
The black dial is exceptionally clean, with Breitling’s distinctive triangular hour hand, arrow-shaped minute hand and date positioned discreetly at 6 o’clock. Surrounding the dial is a polished black ceramic unidirectional dive bezel, giving the watch an understated black-on-black appearance while the polished stainless-steel case provides just enough contrast.
This example is fitted to Breitling’s black mesh-style rubber strap with stainless-steel push-button folding deployant clasp. It gives the appearance of Breitling's traditional Milanese mesh bracelet while offering the comfort and durability of rubber. Breitling
The B20 Movement
One of the highlights of this generation of Superocean Heritage is what's inside.
The watch is powered by the Breitling Manufacture Caliber B20, a self-winding mechanical movement based on Tudor's MT5612 architecture. It is COSC-certified as a chronometer and provides an impressive approximately 70-hour power reserve—enough to take the watch off Friday evening and find it still running Monday morning. Breitling
The B20 operates at 28,800 vibrations per hour and uses 26 jewels. Breitling
Built as a True Dive Watch
Despite its refined appearance, the Superocean Heritage retains genuine dive-watch capability. The 44mm stainless-steel case features a screw-locked crown with dual gaskets, screwed-in caseback and a cambered sapphire crystal treated with anti-reflective coating on both sides. Water resistance is rated to 200 meters / 660 feet. Breitling

Panerai Luminor Base PAM00112 — K Series
44mm Stainless Steel | Black Sandwich Dial | Manual Wind | Box & Papers
Few watches capture the essence of Panerai as purely as the Luminor Base PAM00112. With no date window, no running seconds and virtually nothing to distract from its distinctive dial, the PAM112 represents Panerai design in one of its simplest and most recognizable forms.
This example is from the K production series, corresponding to approximately 2008 production. It is accompanied by its Panerai presentation box, warranty documentation and booklets, along with multiple strap options.
A Modern Expression of Historic Panerai Design
The story behind the Luminor reaches back to Panerai's history supplying specialized instruments and watches for Italian naval forces. The company developed highly legible underwater timepieces intended to remain readable in extremely difficult conditions. The oversized case, large luminous numerals and unmistakable crown-protection system that characterize today's Luminor collection trace their design language to those early military instruments.
The PAM00112 strips that formula down to the essentials.
Its 44mm stainless-steel Luminor case surrounds a wonderfully simple black dial displaying only the hours and minutes. Arabic numerals at 12, 3, 6 and 9 are paired with bold hour markers and luminous hands, producing the unmistakable Panerai appearance.
One of the highlights is the watch's sandwich-style dial construction. Rather than simply applying luminous material to conventional markers, the dial uses a layered construction that creates recessed numerals and indices. The result provides both depth and the bold nighttime legibility for which Panerai became known.
There is no date complication and no seconds subdial. That simplicity is intentional and is a major part of the PAM112's appeal.
Manual-Wind Movement & Exhibition Caseback
Inside is Panerai's manually wound Calibre OP X, a traditional hand-wound movement based on the proven ETA/Unitas 6497 architecture and finished for Panerai.
Rather than relying on an automatic rotor, the PAM112 asks its owner to interact with the watch by winding it manually. For many enthusiasts, that mechanical ritual is part of the appeal of these earlier Panerai models.
Turn the watch over and the movement can be viewed through the sapphire exhibition caseback, providing a very different experience from the closed casebacks found on many tool watches.
The movement offers approximately a 56-hour power reserve.
The Iconic Luminor Crown Guard
Perhaps no feature identifies a Panerai more immediately than the large bridge-style crown-protection device on the right side of the case.
Its locking lever presses the crown securely against the case, creating both a functional sealing system and one of the most recognizable silhouettes in modern watchmaking.
Combined with the substantial 44mm cushion-shaped case, it gives the PAM112 tremendous wrist presence despite the remarkable simplicity of the dial.
This Example
This PAM00112 is a K-series example from approximately 2008 and presents as a particularly attractive package for someone looking for a classic-era Panerai.
Included with the watch are its Panerai presentation box, warranty documentation and accompanying literature, along with multiple strap configurations. The watch is currently accompanied by the traditional black Panerai rubber strap as well as additional olive-green and brown leather strap options, allowing the character of the watch to change considerably depending upon how it is worn.
The black rubber gives the PAM112 its traditional tool-watch appearance, while the leather options highlight the warm, vintage-inspired character that works particularly well with the Luminor case.

Why the PAM112?
The PAM112 comes from an era of Panerai that many enthusiasts associate with the brand's defining formula: large steel case, sandwich dial, manual-wind movement and very little else.
There are more complicated Panerais, but complication isn't really the point here.
The appeal of the PAM112 is its simplicity.
Two hands. Four Arabic numerals. A hand-wound mechanical movement visible through the back. The unmistakable Luminor crown guard. And a design that is immediately identifiable from across the room.
For the collector looking for a traditional 44mm Panerai experience, the PAM00112 remains one of the clearest expressions of the Luminor design.

2026 Breitling Superocean Automatic 42
Black Dial • Stainless Steel Bracelet • Full Set
Ref. A17375211B1A1
There are dive watches that look the part, and there are dive watches that were genuinely designed around the demands of being in the water. The Breitling Superocean belongs firmly in the latter category.
This 2026 Superocean Automatic 42 combines more than six decades of Breitling dive-watch heritage with one of the brand’s cleanest and most wearable modern designs. Finished with a black dial, stainless-steel case and matching steel bracelet, this is arguably one of the most versatile configurations in the Superocean collection—a true sports watch that can move effortlessly from the water to everyday wear.
A Design With Real Breitling History
The story behind the modern Superocean is one of the reasons we find this watch particularly interesting.
As recreational and professional scuba diving exploded in popularity during the 1960s, underwater legibility became critical. Breitling developed a radically simplified dive watch known as the SuperOcean Slow Motion, stripping away unnecessary information and emphasizing what a diver actually needed to see: elapsed time.
The modern Superocean deliberately returns to those design principles. The broad hands, oversized luminous markers and distinctive high-contrast minute scale aren't simply styling exercises—they trace their lineage directly back to Breitling's historic dive watches. Breitling
That heritage gives the current Superocean something many modern dive watches lack: a distinctive identity of its own.
The 42mm Sweet Spot
At 42mm in diameter and only 12.56mm thick, the Superocean has substantial wrist presence without becoming unnecessarily oversized. The proportions make it particularly versatile for someone who wants a true sports watch but doesn't want the bulk associated with many professional dive watches. Breitling
The stainless-steel bracelet further changes the personality of the watch. Rather than feeling purely like dive equipment, the steel-on-steel configuration gives it enough polish and presence to work as an everyday luxury watch.
This is the kind of watch you can genuinely wear almost anywhere.
Built to Actually Be Used
Underneath the design is a serious tool watch.
The stainless-steel case is rated to 300 meters / 1,000 feet of water resistance. It utilizes a screw-locked crown with dual gaskets, a screwed-in caseback and a unidirectional ratcheting dive bezel. Breitling also equips the Superocean with a cambered sapphire crystal that receives anti-reflective treatment on both sides. Breitling
Breitling specifically describes the modern Superocean as being engineered to withstand not only water, but also shock, sand and saltwater—exactly what you'd expect from a watch carrying the Superocean name. Breitling
Breitling Caliber 17
Inside is the automatic Breitling Caliber 17, operating at 28,800 vibrations per hour with 26 jewels and approximately 38 hours of power reserve. Breitling
More importantly, this isn't simply an off-the-shelf automatic movement placed inside a luxury case. Breitling's Caliber 17 in the Superocean is COSC-certified as a chronometer, giving the watch the independent precision certification that has become closely associated with modern Breitling watches. Breitling
For the owner, that combination matters: this is a mechanical luxury watch designed to be worn regularly rather than treated delicately.
Why We Like This Particular Example
For us, the appeal of this watch comes down to the complete package.
The black dial and stainless-steel bracelet give it perhaps the most timeless configuration in the collection. The bold white minute track creates the unmistakable modern Superocean appearance, while the oversized luminous markers and squared-off hands make the dial exceptionally easy to read.
And because this is a 2026 example, you're getting a very current Breitling rather than a watch that's already several generations removed from the showroom.
This example is also accompanied by an excellent set of original Breitling accessories, including:
Original Breitling presentation box
Breitling warranty documentation
Active Breitling warranty through August 2028
Original hang tag
Breitling travel pouch
Quick-start guide and accompanying materials
That completeness matters to us. When possible, we prefer watches that retain their original accessories and documentation because they're an important part of both the ownership experience and the provenance of a modern luxury watch.
Who Is This Watch For?
If you're looking for one luxury watch that you can actually wear, the Superocean 42 deserves serious consideration.
It's robust enough for the pool, ocean and active travel. It's refined enough to wear to dinner. Its 42mm proportions give it presence without overwhelming the wrist. And unlike many luxury sports watches, its design is immediately recognizable without feeling flashy.
It's also an excellent entry point into Breitling ownership because it represents several things the company does particularly well: aviation-grade instrument design translated into a purpose-built sports watch, chronometer-certified mechanical watchmaking, bold legibility and genuine historical provenance.
The result is a watch that doesn't need to live in a safe.
It's meant to be worn.

Breitling Superocean Heritage II B20 Automatic 42 – Stratus Silver Dial – Full Set
There are watches that photograph well, and then there are watches that seem to change every time the light hits them. This Breitling Superocean Heritage II is the latter.
Finished with the less commonly seen Stratus Silver dial against a black ceramic bezel, this 42mm Superocean Heritage II has a clean, almost monochromatic look that can shift from bright silver to warm champagne depending on the light. Paired with Breitling’s polished Ocean Classic mesh bracelet, it strikes a great balance between vintage-inspired dive watch and modern luxury sports watch.
At the heart of the watch is the Breitling Manufacture Caliber B20 automatic movement, developed from Tudor’s MT5612 architecture. It is COSC-certified and offers an approximately 70-hour power reserve.
The Avera Take
The Superocean Heritage has always been one of our favorite Breitling designs because it doesn’t try too hard. It’s unmistakably a dive watch, but without the oversized numerals, busy dial or overly technical appearance found on many modern divers.
This particular configuration is what caught our attention. Most Superocean Heritage IIs you’ll encounter are black or blue dial examples. The Stratus Silver dial paired with the black ceramic bezel is considerably less common, and in person it works exceptionally well. Add the Ocean Classic mesh bracelet and this is exactly how we’d want one configured.
At 42mm, it also hits a sweet spot. It has enough wrist presence to feel like a Breitling without becoming overwhelming.
